In this book, I tell the story of my journey and those of seven other men and women in following the flow of love into unexpected relationships. Each of us fell in love with and married people of the opposite sex and, while married or after separating, discovered that we wanted to be with others of our own gender. Each in our own way, we found ourselves confronting some really irreconcilable differences. Our stories recount our journeys in opening to love and the unanticipated places where love has taken us. They also tell how we each learned to be true to ourselves, even though we live in a homophobic culture in which many people consider us to be sinners, deviants, and second-class citizens.
